“Everything in Moderation”.  I grew up with these wise words coming back to me at times when I lost a little perspective.  As I begin this journey, starting a new business, in the middle of an international pandemic, I have to admit, it’s a little scary.  But then I think of how the word “Moderation” never really enters the world of many people less fortunate than me.

“Moderation” implies that we possess something that we can potentially enjoy in excess.  How fortunate I am that this word plays a role in my life, while so many others are struggling to make ends meet. With this in mind, Moderation will be making a contribution to the Greater Chicago Food Depository with every customer order received.

The Greater Chicago Food Depository is a food bank that serves Chicago and all of Cook County.  Today, their network of food pantries is serving an average of 120% more people in need compared to just ten months ago. Nationwide, 1 in 3 households with children are reporting not having enough food to eat.

We at Moderation hope that we can continue to incorporate a charitable layer year-round and always do what we can to support those struggling in our community.
